Catching a break to post a good pic

Here is a ridiculously cute picture of the kiddos. This is definitely one for the grandparents, they will be oohing and ahhing over this one for a while ;)

I haven't been doing a very good job of posting updates lately but cut me some slack! I have just started my eBay business back up and am trying to keep up with that. But I haven't forgotten about my blog so just keep an eye out and I will have a good post soon :)

A month, really?

Wow. It's been almost an entire month since I last updated. That is hard to believe. Although a lot did happen in that time period, it just doesn't seem like its been a whole month.

For starters, we went on a little vaca to Destin, Florida. We drove. It was exhausting. It was a 14 hour drive! Let me just say... Never again. If we decide to take a trip next year, we will most definitely be flying. Gav did very well in the car.. He slept most of the way there and watched movies most of the way home. Kenna did well on the way there (sleeping most of the ride). However, on the way home she wanted to be held for the entire 14 hours. Other then the drive, the trip was fun! Gav loved the beach, he had a blast building sandcastles and splashing the water around. We've been home for almost two weeks now and Gavin is still talking about how he wants to "move to the beach" (thanks to Daddy).

Three days after we arrived home, Claire (my mother in law) somehow ended up with the swine flu. As soon as I heard the news I rushed out to the store to pick up 2 jumbo cans of disinfecting Lysol, 2 cases of Clorox disinfecting wipes, 5 bottles of hand sanitizer, and a box of face masks. I walked in the house, busted open all of my new cleaning supplies and immediately started scrubbing and spraying the house. Although I did my damnedest to keep this house swine flu free and kept Claire quarantined to her room with a mask on, we all ended up sick. Gav had been complaining of his ear hurting and started running a 103 degree fever so I took him to the Dr only to find out he had 2 ear infections and an upper respiratory infection. Although that sounds like a lot, I was very relieved thinking that I kept him safe from the flu virus. He got tested for the flu that day but I did not find out until the next day that he tested positive. Poor little guy, you can just look at his eyes and tell he isn't feeling well. Hopefully he will be feeling better in a few days.

As for Kenna, she was tested for the flu and thankfully does not have it. But she does have a slight cough and a diaper rash. I'm just trying to keep Gavin as far away from her as possible. Kris and I both had fevers and a cough and were in bed sick for a few days. I cant wait til we're all healthy again!

Well I've got chili boiling over on the stove, a three year old demanding I fix his broken truck, and a four month old waking up from a nap so I will be posting more later :)
